Tucked away, but with easy access, on the edge of the pretty village of Puddletown, 5 miles from Dorchester, the Cottage adjoins the main house at Ilsington Lawn, a lovely 18th century country house. The Cottage, which sleeps 2-4 + sofabed, consists of a main bedroom with king-sized bed, a twin room, bathroom, sitting-room, dining-room and well-equipped kitchen. The private outlook from the main bedroom is a rural idyll across meadows with horse and often deer, herons and egrets. It has its own pretty garden with direct footpath access over the little river Piddle to the unspoilt heart of the old village with its church, thatched cottages and village store. There is plenty of secluded parking, including a carport. Set within wonderful walking and riding country, this is an excellent location for easy access to all Dorset – Poole/Bournemouth, Purbeck, the Jurassic coast, Weymouth and Bridport are all within easy reach.
